Default car valuation for insurance

i'm pretty sure i'm not the only one here with insurance problems because of the mods in the car.

HBF wants a written valuation done on the car. Called melville subaru and they seemed a bit lost on what to do.

any used car dealers that can be trusted to do this?

thanks

Do they want a valuation of the vehicles worth, or do they want it reviewed to determine the mod's and if appropriate to offer you cover?

What car do you have, mods are you running and what sum insured are you after?

HBF should/will send a valuer out, an insurance company won't take the word of a car dealer?

Time to blow the company trumpet....mate RAC value it for free if you're insured with them.

Depends just how modified your ride is as to whether it can be insured of course but you don't have the hassle your going through now getting it looked at and valued.

Might be worth a call for comparison mate....see if they can offer you a policy.

RAC said i had too much power now and gave me 7 days to terminate...

so i went to just car, got a better deal there anyway, with the cost of the mods included.

HBF wanted me to do the same thing with my car & after I went too all the trouble of having the valuation done, they decided that they weren't going to offer me insurance anyways

I'm with HBF and did not have to get this. I have a number of performance and handling mods. Maybe my age?
