i was tossing up between a RS wagon and a Forester also, i went for the Forester, very easy to upgrade with most wrx parts, she goes through almost anything ofroad and is great fun on the track too. There is heaps of space in the back too for your luggage, tools, kids, or the dog. And they are very easy to work on and maintain. You will also save a shitload on insurance cost!

yeah thats another factor, insurance and also i have two dogs so i need sumthin to cart them around in.
Another prob i found with the turbo forresters is that most of em have high k's for their year.

Go the forry, I did and dont regret it. The extra space is joy especially seeing I have also fitted a baby seat. I'm 6'6 and still have the seat all the way back withe the baby seat in.

Im 6'2 and I fit very nicely into my Legacy GT. Seat is all the way back, with still plenty of room for passenger. A few months ago, My Auntie and Her Family came for a visit from Germany. I was left to cart them around for 5 weeks as my car was the biggest. There was two children in baby seats, One older child and Two Adults Plus Me in the drivers seat + and Luggage in the back... No Problems at all. It was still a comfortable ride...

Out of the 1000 or so RS Libertys that were bought into Aus... Only 100 or so were Wagons, and that was back in 1992. Nowadays, I wouldnt be suprised if there are less than 70 Genuine RS Wagons Left. And the prices on Genuine RS's still up around 12-13k for a good condition and well maintained car.
That why, after 3 months searching for that elusive RS Wagon, I gave up and almost bought a Commodore Wagon. And at the very last minute, I found a JDM Legacy GT Wagon, for 10k with low kms and a warranty... Snapped it up straight away. After all that... I still recommend the Lib RS or Leg GT Wagon over the forrester. Its cheaper, Dollar for Dollar a whole lot faster, Just as Roomy and Comfy on the inside. Plus, So many more WRX parts fit onto the Lib/Leg than that of the Forrester, so it makes it very cheap and easy to modify. |

Ah yes... I forgot that the Xt is a 2.5L... However, with the right tuning, I think the Older GT will do much better for less money... And an RS will do even better! |
