Default Jaron's car discussion thread

Thought it would be better to start up a new thead then to get the other one all muddled up.

Anyways.. what has be a little dubious is that the orginial 183kw dyno run has about the right intake temps.. now the 200-something kw dyno's show a rather large increase in intake temp's...

Maybe you should take the car to a Hub dyno (speedworks) and get a second opinion on power as temperature compensiation is not used on load bearing dynos.

If it were me, i'd be suspect of the intake temps.. as most people know.. just increase the intake temp compenstation to that of a fan forced oven (230) and you have 1128hp car

I'm just really surprised a workshop put that out the door.

I mean.. wow.. stunned. If that's the kind of thing RaceTorque are happy to put their name on, I know who I won't be needing to do any of my work in future.

It'd be kind of like me shipping out hardware with drives half screwed in, faceplates missing etc... just shitty practice. If a part doesn't fit, you modify to make it fit. If that's not possible for physical or legal reasons, you find another part.

Fuck, Jaron is obviously a guy who is easier to please than me. If somebody did a job like that shit to my new $50k+ car I'd be out for fucking blood.

tempurature compensation is used on the hub dyno,
just the operators are a little more honest

I'll help pitch in for a dyno comparison

We should do that for a big of an experiement, book a stock car in, for say 3-4 different dynos, same day, similar conditions, and see where the consistency really lies....

Doesnt need to be stock either, any car, willing to go on two or three or four dynos during the same day.

I'd be a keen guinea pig. Make a good story for psc too.
