i have street legal 35 now, but had 20 on the GC8 and miss it.
5 is really very dark and obvious i'd expect to be pulled up pretty quickly in a WR Blue STi.

I had 20% on my gc8 for 5+ years, never got stickered. Nearly did once, talked him out of it. Although the only reason i got out of it was because he gave me a speeding ticket. But if i wasnt speeding i wouldnt have been pulled over. Drive like a 'hoon' and expect to get a yellow for tint. Drive normally and look like you're MYOB and you should be fine.

20% is a happy medium I think, hence the new car is booked in for 20% in 2 weeks

Ba... i have had 7 cars all done by Peter and he has always done a fantastic job and not once have i ever had a problem with the police. I have had it done on Maloo's and Clubby's and Wrx's and an RS Lib and even an old WB ute that was so old school and balls out it used to get pulled over so cops could look in it and under the bonnet.

I use 5 grade on all these vehicles and have never run into problems. the tint that Peter supplies and fits is able to be used instantly after fit (none of this no window winding for 24-48 hrs bullshi!) and even with 5 grade it is still easy enough to see out of at night. My best mate had his done by tint a car in 20 grade and mine was easier to see through than his was.

By the same token about 6 months after i sold my '98/99 WRX the young guy that bought it got stickered and the tint was one of the things they pinged him for. The fact that he was trying to drive fast enough to go back in time through town and trying to race everything on wheels and basiclly being a tool was the reason though. He and i had the same car, the same mods and everything. We just had different attitudes and driving styles. ie he was an idiot i was not.
