It's a direct rail diesel injection, it will be in Tribeca this year for the US market and will replace the 3.0R engine, yeah it sounds like a Hilux no boxer rumble.

The Tribeca's have had a lot of warranty work done thus far, the american forums are full of people complaining about the overall build quality of the Tribeca, it was much the same when Mercedes started to build it's " M-Class" in america instead of in Germany and again same issues with the BMW X5 & X3 all american built in petrol and diesel but it took about 12 months to sort through all the issues and get a decent car out to the public. What ashame that the Impreza build is going away from what most people would like it to be.

Obviously it isnt, because I'm sure Subaru has done plenty of research, and determined its exactly what the masses want to see.

It may not be what enthusiasts want to see, but enthusiasts like us dont buy the majority of cars, and therefore dont contribute as greatly to overall profit as Mr and Mrs Average.
