Too low often means the roll centre is below the ground - this is bad.

Too low often means you often don't get the full damper available from the struts!

Spot on, the REX was low when I bought it, raising it improved lap times.

I haven't measured mine but I am going to raise it. Got a copy of Mike Lloyd's secret suspension book

John will recommend 335-345mm. (Im *pretty sure* 345 is 'the' number - but 335 also works, and is slightly more aethestically pleasing).

"Slamming it" makes the handling worse unless you modify things well out of the normal enthusiasts budget (more like a Tino sized budget..)

Gordon came around tonight and I made some measurements against his stock Ver6 STI. It dawned on me after looking at the measurements that I hadn't made any adjustments after bolting the roll cage in: the rear actually sits quite a bit lower than the front. That certainly will not be helping!

dragging its arse is not gonna help.. I'm sure you will notice a reduction of lap times once you fiddle with the height and even it out

I had the car setup level and it was pretty neutral, sitting it low in the rear will make it understeer ?

..and certainly will not be helping the braking either. All of them are on the piss which is interesting as I have had a certain workshop fiddle with heights for me certain times for good money.

Those heights are yuk, I would set it at 335mm all the way round, to make it easier if you have 17" rims which are 470mm diameter (on my car) measure from bottom of rim lip so 235+335=570, I go for a short drive between tweaks as it settles, then re measure.
