It has nothing to do with the actual weight of the diff, its the force required to move it. 4kgf i think is the proper name. all stock non-dccd 5 speed box's have a 4kg diff, and they are all fwd biased. aftermarket 8, 12 and 20kg centres are available and each increases the bind up too the 20kg which is essentially a locked 50:50 centre, much like driving around with DCCD in full lock all the time. Most gravel rally guys turf the dccd/4kg in favour of a 20 as its mroe consistent. 12kg from my research seems to be the sweet spot for tarmac for providing a consistent 50:50 drivetrain with enough slip to actual get around a tight tarmac corner.

wouldn't have a fucking clue, its sitting in the shed at home and i am in Bunbury for work. Its definately poo poo'd the tyre off the rim. Currently rocks jammed inbetween the bead and the wheel which keep letting air out. I have scratched the wheel a bit where i tried to get the rocks out with a screwdriver, and there are definatly still rocks jammed in the brakes and or suspension somewhere. I'm hoping to pull the whole thing apart when i get back. Anyone got some 17" r-comps i can borrow for Busselton ? :/
