A third of a tank of fuel would weigh ~15kg, so you're looking at about 30kgs extra for the 6MT synchro gearbox over a 5MT dog box.

OK so a few events in quick succession since my last update 6 years ago...
I think this is where we left off, Jacks hill still with the Albins dog box and freshly inserted 2 way plated rear LSD. Quite a handful but certainly a lot faster than the previous time I had been up Jacks. I think i cut 3 seconds off my PB Next up was in 3 events in the space of 8 days. Rexpo AM session at the RAC skidpan and then Evo vs WRX rnd 2 at the speed dome. I think this was my first real skids with the 6 speed. Once again I wasn't as prepared as I could be and was still using my old rcomps and hadn't done an alignment. 3+mm of rear toe meant the car was awfully tail happy. In car external thanks to Karl (maniac) As you can see my old rcomps kept finding a previous flatspot. I was having a lot of trouble using the brakes at all. That afternoon I went to the evo vs wrx and the slippery surface meant I was either locking the brakes or sliding sideways. Sure it was fun but it certainly wasn't fast. No video from that event, its too queer. The following week (after an alignment thanks to Wheels World) was the Busselton sprint. The WA round of the ARC on the foreshore of Busselton and we get to use the tarmac stage during the day when the rally cars are in the forest. Lots of concrete barriers and no real run off meant I wasn't pushing as hard as I would have liked. But I kept it clean unlike about a dozen other cars who ended up into those big concrete barriers. I set myself a goal time of 1:45 and ended up running a 1:36 thanks to some borrowed fresh Yoko A048 tires. Fairly happy with the event and managed to make the ~800km round trip (including driving the car out to the rally stages on the Sunday) without raelly missing a beat. http://nextgenphotography.zenfolio.c...5628/e1f7b9e1d Finally, this weekend just passed was the IWRXOC driver training day at Wanneroo Raceway. My experience of Wanneroo is pretty much slim to none, 4 laps in PROTOTYPE 4 years ago and 3 laps in a go kart, i was pretty much starting from scratch. For this event I managed to scrounge some second hand Brigestone RE55 rcomps from Wheels world that were a little old. Old hard rubber plus torrential rain meant my first few laps were very skidworthy and I was totally the drift king. I managed to only get about a dozen hot laps in during the day due to my catch can overflowing everytime i did the long track. Here is the vid of my best run This weekend we are heading down to watch Targa Southwest and next weekend we are driving down to Albany for the two hillclimbs. more video and potentially photos of my car rolld down a hill to follow

Very nice to watch, nice driving man.
Good reward for all those years (and dollars!) spent on that car Cheers, Wrxpc |

Awesome to watch.
Good to see a built car getting used. I watched the first ones twice. |
