LOL, both the HC+ and H16-03 are too aggressive to be considered a daily pad. If you do want phenomenal brakes for the street then go the A1RM. It's half the price of the Project Mu, 99% as good in performance (I personally run it in my 03 Impreza rally car) and it's only compromise is slightly higher than normal rotor wear. You'll still get 20-25,000k's from a set of rotors clamped by A1RM, but you'll struggle to get more than 15,000 from a set of rotors with HC+ or H16-03.

I know we seem biased to the QFM gear (dunno why, we'd make more money selling the Pmu gear!) but they are bloody good pads for the money, and made locally. Unless you're doing track work the PMu pads are [expensive] overkill.

See our QFM thread, there's enough feedback from enough people there that do track work on the A1RM that you definitely don't need anything more on the street!

You don't need a V8 Supercar (of which Project Mu are a control supplier!) to benefit from their race and competition pads!!!

Just wanted to let you know how the new pads went as I was at the track yesterday.

Short answer is these pads are amazing (Pmu H16-03)! I cut 6 seconds, yes 6, off my previous time with changes to the car being, higher boost (14psi over 10), pads and braided lines and federal 595rs-r. I was amazed at the stopping power of these pads, I was braking over 20meters later off the straight and from much higher speeds. I did 120km on the circuit and they literally only got better as the day went on. The hotter they got the better they got, I seriously could not fault them at all and I really believe I was nowhere near the limit of the pads. I can't actually describe how effective they are and how much confidence I have in them! The biggest letdown by far was my lack of experience, the car, brakes and tyres were nowhere near their limits.

Oh and the A1RMs in the rear were good too, no issues there and they did their job as they should, it's much harder to review rear pads when the fronts stand out like that!

I have been referring lots of people your way and can now back that with some proof!

Thanks heaps,
Justin

I don't know which model as the previous owner put them in. But I haven't done many k's and they wore them away pretty quickly. Worked well. The new a1rm's seem good though!

Most rally cars have pads so aggressive that at night when braking you can actually see sparks/bits of of pad/rotor coming off.

My stuff arrived today Greg, the new DBA t3's look alright!

Cheers mate.

They do don't they! I was skeptical when we first heard DBA were making a unidirectional slotted rotor, but I have to say they've pulled it off rather well!
