Anyone else have a similar story?
rac tried that on me. Car "depreciated" 9k in one year and they wanted the same money from me. Told them where to go.

anyone know about progressive direct? they are quite new as far as car insurance go in Australia. what got my attention was multi-vehicle on the one policy, so then i would insure both my weekender WRX and the Forester GT which my gf is learning in at the moment. Did a quote for the two cars on one policy: Cost $2400, Excess $500 (each cars) gf also on policy as learner driver...maybe sounds to convenient to be legit and not dodgey.

Previously - now just just 3rd party insurance Cost: $385/year

Insurer: Just Cars
Car: 97 180sx
Mods: suspension, wheels, full body kit

I saw earlier in this thread someone saying that RAC doesnt cover ECU tuned cars. Anyone had any dealing with this, as I am looking at a CS8 with ECU tune due to new exhaust. The RAC quote is like $1100 a year and the cheapest thus far. Any help is much appreciated.

Allianz are currently covering my 05 WRP10, no mods with licence for 8 years and no claims/accidents or fines - agreed value $30k (i wish!) everything protected $1500 a year with $300 excess.

I spoke to Shannons the other day and its pretty much the same.. but RAC have offered me $1100 a year.. so probably switching this month.
