FMICs make me twitchy though - I do a lot of gravel driving, often behind other cars, to orienteering & rogaining events. Having an FMIC sounds like an invitation to get a stone through it, or hit a particularly large ditch and rip the thing off.

This is one of the main reasons why I love having a Subaru in the first place - I can't stand driving FWDs on gravel after having the RS for a few years.</fanboi>

last conversion i helped with drove in friday night a 1.6L NA fwd and drove out monday evening an STI Type RA. 1 long weekend, 2 cartons of coronas :P

Hehe...oh sure - if I can borrow you, tuna and his workshop (including that lovely car hoist) I'm sure I could do a RS -> WRX conversion in 2-3 days. Hell, I'd even supply the beer.
