Default Never give up hope

G'day, I'm new to the forum. I traded my dreams of a WRX for a family. They are great but I want a WRX. We are selling our house soon and I will be in the market for one. Can you give me some advice on the cheapest range or models? Perhaps if I win Lotto I'll go for the top range. P.S. I see there is some sort of Lotto syndicate going, can I join? Twrx

I'd advise against buying the cheapest WRX out there as that will more than likely cost more in the long run. Look for a stock bugeye model & that's probably your best bet.

Default What WRX to buy?

Thanks for the welcome. I'll probably only have around $20,000 to spend.

For around 20k you would be looking at 03-05 shape wrx or if you stretch the budget slightly, you can go for a bugeye sti like impresiv said....

Depends what you want the car for....and if you plan to mod it...

Welcome...

With the depressed car market, you could just about go for 03+ STi for $20K... Carsales.com.au is your friend... have a good look around & don't be in a hurry.

Default Helpful hints

Thanks that’s very helpful.

Yes ImPreSiV, I like the Bugeye style.

It will be an everyday car but I want everyone to know it’s me when I go past. Cheers kid - I’ll look in the 03 - 05 range. I don’t think I will be doing any mods till I win some money, but I need to know what is possible.

02 STi, 207 with forged pistons, brembo's, 6spd, 17's and interior otpions are all things I need to know when I’m looking for a good deal, thanks JDM STYLE.

westoz, best place in the world hey! I’ve just been surfing Carsales, there’s a good range in there. I won’t hurry, I’ll do my homework first and listen to people in the know.

I would love to buy yours karina2009 but I have to finish painting my house and get it on the market to raise the money.
