Default Can people please give input on mods

I currently have just a 3"TBE on my 07STi.
Engine light keeps coming on so planning on getting a Verso tune as iv been told this can clear the engine light fault frm the Exhaust.
At the same time im planning on going for a bigger capacity fuel pump and injectors and probably fuel lines, and upgrade the intake syatem as mines stock.

Was planning on using ASG for the work as they serviced my car last and iv heard good things about them and there all over these forums

Can people please give me positive or negative feed back on what they think i should do or if im going the right or wrong way with my plans.

Im also working on getting HSD HR coil overs and 24mm Adjustable Whiteline front and rear sway bars, adjustable camber kit, anti lift kit, an strengthened strut braces.

HSD HR’s from BALISTC
Sway bars, anti lift, camber kit and strut braces from John @ WW

Cheers Guys, I look forward to your feed back

And while im here can i up my boost alittle with stock turbo and Top Mount Cooler with the Verso ?

There's a good mixture of mods in there and you will see some great results, especially in the handling. I wouldn't bother with the fuel lines at the moment. These base mods will be a good stepping stone if you want to take it further too. When Sean tunes the car he will set the boost to whatever the car responds too and is safe. John was running 24psi on his little TD04 from memory so your VF43 can handle a little

Cheers for the input PIGSTi and Dave.

PIGSTi : iv heard the EJ257's STi motors arnt forged internals like the earlier 2.0L STi's so only safe going to 18PSI on them ? also will my stock VF43 and STi top mount handle 18PSI safely ?

cheers

Your VF43 and sti top mount will handle it no problem as will your 257 engine but the question is always for how long. There is a point with every turbo that it reaches its maximum efficiency band in regards to boost pressure vs power made. Sean has tuned 100's of these by now I suggest and he has a fair idea what the ideal safe tune is.

Yeh as Dave said 18psi is no problem at all. And yes your STi has cast pistons. It'll last but when you mod anything you take that risk, I certainly wouldn't be giving it a flogging on a 40 degree day.

As above.

Also, I'm not too sure about the 07's, but the earlier models responded very well, to a stiffer sway-bar in the rear than the front.
A lot of people run a 24mm adjustable in the rear, and a 22mm up front.
This has been found to be a good setup to tame the understeer a little.

cheers matty. yeah John from WW said the same thing but he said he will jut adjust the rear to be stiffer then the fronts, that way later down the track if i decide to go more hardcore on the suspension set up the fronts already big enough and can just increase the rear.

One word, Yes I would wait until this one goes first anyway, there's no point cracking a perfectly good motor, especially seeing as your not going to be pulling massive numbers with a TBE and tune anyway.
