I actually like Rotas, but have read a few bad reviews about them. With the bad reviews, I always get the impression its mostly about the whole concept of buying copies that brings the hate. I am torn between the G Force and the Gravel both in Hyper Black.

Welcome!

Rays RE30's (or Rota SVN's, if you decide against forking out $3k+ for the Rays) would be my pick

Otherwise Tuned by STI or WRX Club Spec Evo 9 wheels could always look good!

On the whole Rota quality concern thing, I haven't heard horror stories over here - some in the US, many recirculating from their earlier days. You wouldn't expect them to perform as well as a forged $2.5-3.5k set would, but as far as 'street' wheels are concerned, they seem to go alright - better than a lot of wheels out there!

The plates do get quite a lot of odd looks. The number of times I see people trying to work out the meaning is amazing, but I love them and they are worth every cent I paid for them

Thanks.

I seem to have expensive taste, all the rims I like are around 3 - 4 grand. In all likelihood I think I may have to go for copies.

Go the copies unless you can find Advan, Volk etc second hand in good condition.

For a 20k street car, doesn't make sense to drop 4k on rims.

Also go for decent rubber.

Greetings

Sweet ride, I had rotas on my wrx and wouldnt hesitate to put them on another car.
Readily avalible & excellent quality rims. Perfect for the price.
Plus if you kurb one you won't cry over damaging $1200 of rim :-)

Can you recommended any tyres? I have noticed Rota WA (VisionR) have Nexen as the tyre provider on their website but haven't really read much about them.
