Default First time poster, long time reader...

Hi all,

I figured I would get around to posting an introduction at some point.

I've gone from an '05 RS to recently (a year ago) making the biggest investment of my life to date... an '08 White STi.

Since then I've bolted up an Invidia TBE and had it tuned by Mao at Evolution R.

Future plans for the betty are as follows (hopefully by the end of the year:
- Blouch Dom1.5XTR with 8cm exhaust housing
- CAI
- TMIC
- Equal length headers
- 1000cc injectors and fuel pump
- Pumback BOV and 3 Port BCS

Good to finally get something on here and get a bit more involved...

Here's a couple of pics of old and new, and just the new.

Welcome! Glad to c another betty sti owner here.

Just an advice. Dont bother with a tmic, get turbo inlet and boost & oil pressure gauge instead. Maybe add an aos /catch can to the shopping list too.

Enjoy ur car.

Welcome. Have a read through this thread. http://www.perth-wrx.com/vb/mechanic...ds-08-wrx.html Will give you a great idea on what you are likely to achieve numbers wise.

Welcome to the forum and congrats on the purchase and good modding plans.

1.5xtr is a great choice IMO, the same turbo I used on my 08 betty (non sti). A very responsive turbo that makes good power.

Look forward to seeing more from your ride as you go along

Best advice ... take all the advice with a grain of salt.

Mate has the Blouch 1.5XTR and its very responsive and powerful to say the least. Would have generated more power but probably held back by the OEM TMIC.

But hey ... get a oil n boost guage. By the time you realise you have no oil pressure it'll be too late and bitches love a boost guage.

Cheers for the advice guys, I'm more than happy to listen...

As for the Catch Can, that is one thing that I forgot to mention, but definitely in the budget...

I haven't really looked into the gauges as yet... have you guys got any recommendations off the top of your head? or at least recommended brands to focus on?

Also, cheers for the link HowlFactor, good read...

Sure thing, just make sure the catch can connect to crankcase not cam breather.

As for gauges, any quality brands would do it, defi racer/BF(cheapest ones r from EVO R), AEM (prospeed racing) etc. just put oil pressure sensor on top of the crank not bottom imo.
