Just out of curiosity, why would I go with a stage 2 / 3 clutch for a daily stock car, and no major mods planned in the future? (excuse the ignorance, I never really bought into the whole "stage 1, 2, 3, 4" etc)
But thanks, I will give vision r a call when I've done a little more research. I haven't dealt with them in the past because I tried to contact them 3-4 times when buying my last set of wheels + about $10,000 in other various bits, and they never got back to me. But will give them another try.

The stage two has a higher tourqe capability than std.
It drives / feels like a std clutch.

Competition Clutch Stage 2 Steelback Brass Plus Clutch Kit Subaru STI 2004-2015 15030-2100 at RallySportDirect.com

The stage three is suited for higher than std power out puts. I can tell you it feels like a std clutch does. You can still ride / slip the clutch when you need to.

Whatever clutches Doug puts in, the HD 6 speed one i'm guessing, I can hold it in for about 2-3 mins, then getting pretty keen to let it out. Even less after a run or gym session.

Not sure if that is considered heavy or not, but on the 5 speed, could hold it in endless really and not get tired of keeping the pressure down.

Have a competition clutch and lightened flywheel in mine from Jarrod . Been in nearly 2 years now about 15000km of mainly track and hard driving .

Not my daily but drives like stock no shuddering and stock feel and hasn't had one issue .

This is exactly what I don't want happening, that's why I was looking at oem replacements. Will have a chat to some people in the know to get the details on a stage 2.

Mine is stage 2 with the lightened flywheel . Same feel as stock . But with the STI you may have to look at stage 3 as Jarrod did say to me anything over 350hp at the flywheel they recommend the stage 3. It has the same pressure plate different clutch plate , so the weight of the clutch pedal would be same as stage 2 mine is 5 speed not 6 tho so may be different feel.

The only reason I say stage 3 is with your car and minor mods 350 at the flywheel isn't much more than stock . If Seagull has a stage 3 in the same or similar STI see if he will let you go for a drive . You can judge for yourself then
as everyone's idea of good feel is different . I'm sure RichX would give you a try to compare as well.

I'd suggest, depending on what driveline loss you'd like to quote, that I'm over 300Hp easily at the fly and I am using a stock Sti clutch, Sti pressure plate and flywheel on the 6 speed.

Taken it to the drags, track and Racewars and I have had no issues of any type. That's in a car with a curb weight greater than a Sti.

(Edit - this is a WRX Sti clutch which has a greater diameter than the original Liberty supplied clutch, hence, I have an Sti diameter flywheel).
