There is some merit to staged upgrades... but some places just say Stage X, Stage Y, Stage Z and don't offer any real specifications to separate them (besides the price).

Its got nothing to do with stage tuning bullshit . If you look on their ( Competition Clutch) website the stages are just how they name the different models and increases in clutch features. Nothing wrong with stock STI clutches either

But you cant compare them to proper aftermarket clutches . Just like trying to compare forged oem STI pistons to proper aftermarket .Chalk and cheese.

Went to visit Mao today, had him install navigation screen / stereo to be rid of the shitty factory radio, and had him wire the MFD into the ignition.
He did great work, first time I've been to a workshop where they took the time to make sure every single little detail was okay.

So guys, I'm quite interested as to the general opinion of PWRX on this, treat me as I know nothing about modding (I do, but generally I've gone from 0 mods to over 9000 in 2 weeks, rather than doing things slowly, and admittedly I haven't had much experience modding subis despite owning another STI a few years back).

So what are my best bang for buck mods in a GR STI?
I aim to do things slowly this time around, and the internet is just giving me crap from yanks like "get a COBB AP!!!!11one!!1" which we can't (to my knowledge) use on AU rexys.
Brake stopper already ordered. Car also has slotted front rotors on it already. Apart from that, entirely stock.

Not just interested in power, handling and stopping is a huge deal to me.

Edit - I hear supertones add 25 hp?

You've already done something that allegedly causes a few of them around here to go bang after getting mods done...

More Mao bashing? I don't see how a touch screen could cause anything to go bang, also grow up, if you don't like him or his workshop then don't go there... there's no real need to openly sledge him every chance you get, unless it's proven - but by saying "allegedly" I'd assume not.

Cheers, boost controller really? EBC or is manual best?

Lowering springs, sway bars and strut braces.
Exhaust and tune + fuel pump etc.
Decent tyres.
Track days.

Cheers, exhaust, tune, springs and sways were definitely on my list.
Driver needs some modding also, seems I've lost the hang of manual driving after being in an sequential. Probably back to normal after a couple weeks.
