U will get use to it...

Like tony said, TBE, boost solinoid (EBC for bigger turbo imo), swaybar or coilover, CAI (for some marginal gain and cool noise). Maybe a fluid change, some better front pads.

Enjoy!

How much did you use your 500hp evo at the track? If not much. I would suggest do nothing and go play with it at the track.

Stop wasting money.

Something else that has been bothering me, The STI seems to use as much, if not more fuel than my Evo did... and the Evo was running extremely rich. Is this common?

Thanks mate, seems like those are the general consensus.

Not a lot at all. Originally intended to be more, but life happens, etc etc.

You're probably right, but a few little mods aren't going to break the bank. I need a little bit of noise to enjoy the car more! Being that the rumble was one of a few reasons for me choosing a WRX.

Might have something to do with the extra capacity? It is 2.5L vs 2.0

fuel economy can be improved through good tuning and modifications, so you're heading in this direction anyway.

Was the evo 2l? Caue your sti is 2.5l which will account for some of it.

Also 100buks for an electronic boost controller is a very good investment. I can garauntee where ever you have the car tuned will recommend one.

Yep the Evo was 2L, I'm aware of the difference just didn't think it would play such a huge role. My 07 was nowhere near this bad with same engine capacity.

Cheers, will have a look into one.

Best bang for buck mod so far on my Betty has been the adjustable strut tops (k-mac) and getting John Fowler to align the car properly. Improved the handling of the car a lot, that and good tyres.

You should get a least 500-550km out of a tank in your Betty, if not something is wrong, or you drive it like you stole it...

Cusco stopper arrived this morning Will install it later and update if braking improves.
Also having a chat to a workshop about getting eibach springs, some perrin sway bars+kartboy endlinks, short shifter and maybe an exhaust (still can't decide on brand) put in this week-next week.

Getting nowhere near that, I haven't driven a manual in a very long time, so my revs might be a little high as i'm readjusting.... and I occasionally give it a bit of a squirt if nobody is around, but the fuel it's using makes no sense. I'm going to have it checked out this week if I can.

It may already be tuned. Mine became very thirsty after the initial tune with tbe/oem turbo.
