Default Howdy.... and help! :)

Howdy guys, I am a new member to the WRX scene. Bought myself a gumtree WRX GC8 1999 (200k) that SEEMS to be good and clean with a few mods and was sold. Owner said he was a mechanic and that he took care of it, etc, but now I am doubting it more than ever.

Now, after only a week, things seems to be wrong, there are leaks in places I don't know and it feels very underpowered and just doesn't feel right. I don't know what to do here. Should I count my loses and sell (or shudder scrap), or should I book it in into one of the Subi specialist to get it looked at, diagnosed, tuned and just get it to be reliable.

I am such a sad camper at the moment as I was so happy during the first few days of ownership that this is gutting me deep. Do you guys have any recommendation on who I should take it to get it done as well as an opinion on what I should do next. Selling it as scrap metal is an option too I suppose...

Sigh, buyer beware and I was blinded by the prospect of Rex ownership that I think I bought with my heart and not my head. I need help..... Sigh, I just fear I have to sell my soul (on top of what I have already done) to fix it....
