If say it's an STI with the tuned by STI on the cover and an SC ecu but now you can see there wasn't a great deal of difference in the early cars . SC and Z4 are the best of those Ecus tho bud

Another thing to check is if it's a genuine V2 STI it must have been a personal import as they can't be regoed otherwise, the first registerable STI's in Aus were the 99 V5 2 doors.

When JWS were operating a few years ago you could buy complete running RA WRX's and STI's for about $5,000 - $6,000 a lot of people had std wagons and did complete running gear swaps

Yes it came with a big fat file of paperwork with all the import papers and the complete details of who originally imported it, it came into NZ first and then he bought it with him to Aus,, and subsequent owners rego papers ,,, even has the original manuals and service books, though they are all in Japanese
