Because it seems the majority of Perth refuses to accept any changes which may make life a little easier.

I cant believe how dumb arse Perth drivers and rule makers make such a simple thing as merging into something so difficult and complicated.

Same issue with correctly using roundabouts.

Its beyond me

Give way to the right effectively ... What the rule used to be.

Either way, is Perth, drivers are fucked, I see multiple fails forth coming.

Esp during the peak hours and its fairly bumper to bumper.

Those on the freeway won't need to allow the cars coming onto the freeway in so this will cause the slip road to fill up back to the lights at the bridge.

Those wanting to get onto the freeway will get there after 9.30am.

Straight roads are for fast cars, twisty roads are for fast drivers. I have or am neither.

Exactly what Jeckle said. Despite it "making sense" or "the rest of the world does it" it will severely congest arterial roads. Also our Freeways very rarely have gaps long enough for a car to safely accelerate from 0-100km/h.

Smash repairers are licking their lips.

The way some people are reacting, you'd be mistaken for thinking this is the first time such a road rule has even been used ever in the whole world ever...

Is it only during peak hour that this is in effect?
