To the black sti that was following me into Condel West River Gum pl isn't a spectator point, but its less crowded, and hi to Doug on the way out, that cop car was as close to you as what you drive when your're following a car, hope they got some good footage.

That cop car shadowed me all the way to Highlands, temporary 80km/h speed sign with no end sign meant I was late getting to the stage.

Burke, Damo's car is running great. In hindsight we shouldn't have stuffed around and spent a fortune trying to make a 308 into a good thing, instead just use a LS 6 litre (which we had already) and wait for the rules to catch up or not worry about the rules. It just hasn't got the power to match the bigger engined cars on the fast stages.

Edit; Someone's having a go at the organisers on the FB site about the EVO crash. It's not my place to reply there but here's my take on it.

1/ Warning triangles are rallying's equivalent of a yellow flag (the triangles were definately clearly displayed) If you crash at any circuit under yellows you'll be in front of the stewards.

2/ The corner is in the road book as a 'black spot'

3/ The course cars had already erected an additional caution board at that corner.

Was thinking this myself. CAMS stewards at a race meeting would either impose a huge fine and good behaviour conditions or instant suspension of your licence.

That video is just plain scare. Officials like Doug can be around assisting off the side of the road and their only protection is the commonsense of the drivers.

The video footage is pretty damning. Perhaps they had mechanical issues because surely someone couldn't have missed those triangles. They were well placed.

Will be interesting to see what happens.
