^^^ Generally very difficult without bog. The ali tends to stretch and is very reluctant to be worked back into place. Tends to fatigue and crack. Sadly carbon ones don't tend to be much if any lighter in weight, but can be lighter on the wallet than a genuine factory replacement.

I can get two guards and a bonnet for just on $1k. Then I take them back as luggage when next on R&R

And a full set of CF doors for under $2.5k - but would take a few R&R's to bring back.

Are the WRX guards steel or ally ? if ally I would be replacing as the carbon/fibreglass will be heavier (are on the evo), doors are a different thing.

I don't have control over the brake bias in my car.
Hey Chris

Watched you cross the line at the Langely Park stage (3rd and final run). The left rear locked up briefly under heaving braking after the flying finish accompanied by a puff of tyre smoke. The car was already through the corner and travelling in a straight line before the lock up. Couldn't see the right-rear from where I was standing, but the left definitely pinched. Just my observations from the outside looking in. Hard to diagnose without being in the driver's seat.

Exceptionally bad luck to end up on your roof.

With nothing to adjust bias; I'd be sticking that abs fuse back in!

Why is ABS so bad? It will still leave you with steering, (thinking of that R8 that played with a tree), You should still threshold brake for max performance, but it will stop lock up.

Also air bags, apart from not being overly helpful with a harness, but are they still of use?

(Questions asked based on a car potentially being in the challenge category)

Car is no doubt based on an RA shell or whatever the STI equivalent of the Evo RS is so probably doesn't come with ABS and sans radio, elec windows etc etc. Would need to be retro fitted. Major PITA. But I am man enough to admit I would rather run with it it most situations.
