They look pretty good but is it only me or do other people think they look too similar to the 888 Vodafone cars?

Yes, up until now it has been very boring and poorly executed.

as per the launch vid they have full backing of nissan motorsport TJ

+ launching a new model car for sale off the back of the v8 supercar series

= how can this not be an epic win for nissan???

sitting through the offical launch this morning (like the good nissan fanboi i am) i'm even excited for the lil twerp, so much time efoort & $$ have gone into this, this isn't going to be a whim, or just throwing a few production modified cars at a race team & see if it fails, imho nissan means serious business

another player on the court can only mean a bigger better experience for all of the fans

I'm not a Holden or Ford fan by any means, but I think it's a bit far fetched to believe that X is going to show Y how to corner, or that one team is going to dominate this simply because of the brand of car it is. The regulations placed upon the new entrants will be the same applied to the existing manufacturers, a very obvious example is the Nissan motor having to be sleeved down (or shorter stroke, whatever, I don't remember exactly) to comply with the standards.

But none of that really matters, because it's going to be fucking excellent to watch regardless.

Amusing discussion on which 'car' is going to be better. Especially since they are all the same 'car' with a different body kit on it.

wow, so ford and holden have been secretly developing a quad cam v8 engine which will be chucked onto thier 2013 cars? farkin asif LOL

so what if they have the same specs for wheelbase/track etc etc same gearboxes, same diffs, same power output... its how you deliver that power that can make all the difference, how efficient the fuel burn is on the engine, i don't really have to explain more do it? i'll just say...

pushrod = dinosaur

There is no denying that pushrod is old tech, but the power being made by either the pushrod or quad cam engine is being delivered to the wheels down identical 'boxes and into identical differentials. Fuel burn may be different, yes, but the power is being delivered identically.
