I've also downloaded Trackmaster. It's a lapping tool. You can import data from Google Earth so you can have split times. You can give same GE data to someone else, so you use same split points. It also displays speed, best lap...you can overlay this with torque, so you have lap timing and track map from Trackmaster, together with speed and RPM from Torque app, and even have a recording from GoPro. But it works the best with an external bluetooth GPS receiver (5 or 10Hz).
Master D, just let me know when you're available, and I'd love to try your bluetooth OBD2 reader. Adi |

Just an update on this:
Thanks to Dave, I tried his OBD2 receiver and it did NOT work on MY99. What I've read so far is that MY99 does support OBD2 (unlike earlier WRXs). Why it didn't work I don't know. Now I'm gonna see if it would be worth it buying OBDKey, which also supports SSM. It's a shame, because the app looks great. Adi *edit* Just for anyone's future reference: Seems like MY99/00 will not work with OBD2 scanners...but they do work with Tactrix Last edited by Addy; 10-07-2011 at 03:06 PM. |
