now there is a novel idea! It's great having huge power figures but if you can't use it efficiently to achieve your actual goal, 1/4 mile, hill climbs, rallying, autox then whats the point. It's cool to see what hp everyone has but what would be even better is to hear what the car is used for, total est costs to achieve said goal, etc.

Me daily driver who wanted to improve performance of already great car. Car cost me $65K plus $2K of mods including tune = very smooth linear power from 2600 to 5500 rpm =

ps, I did show the nice printout that Sean gave me to all my mates and in the office.

I think its just interesting to see where the spread of power figures is.

That way you can work out if your motor is doing ok for its size / mods vs similar cars.

It would be a better thread if it was HP, KW and 1/4 mile time.
Might actually be comparible then.
Different dyno's different figures, means squat when you put them all together without all the other variables.

There is already a "Chest Beating" & "Performance" thread on this forum with dyno plots, 1/4mile times, lap times, etc - how many more do we need?

A dyno day is good for getting cars lined up on the same day, same dyno for comparison purposes.
