Yes but al, u cant get the REO70s in 18s for one and the price factor certaining outweighs those benefits also.

I hear ya bro, thats why I got the RS2, check out Ardross tyres for em guys 250 a corner fitted and balanced.

tino, the new Spec C RA-R runs 18in 235 RE070's.......

looks like they just might be available now, I always wanted to get some but they were not available in 18in....till now..

hmm pete they would be nice, but prolly just as pricey as the pirellis.. hahaah

Do they have the same rating though to be used in aus?

I'm sure you could get them, would probably be about 500 a tire. But honestly, after running the r specs full time, in the dry I wouldn't go back to something ordinary RE070's would be the best long(er) life tire. You get use to the stupid grip. when you throw it into a sweeper they are a bit cold and it progressively drifts, by the time your powering out the start to hook up. The car feels totally neutral. In winter or wet they are dodgy when cold in roundabouts, but if you get them warmish (get in 1st and weave side to side @ 40-50km'h for about 100m's) they are not too bad.

Im with you ATz 242.... Stupid grip is getting fairly addictive.

I have to redo all my favourite roads a few times....cause when I drive like I used too on my old shagged tyres it feels like I am over-steering the car heaps and not going fast enough. I seem to end up turned in way too early cause the extra 20kph im carrying feels scary at first.
