Hey peoples got a rbf5 vidw came of a 2004 turbo diesel rodeo only done 20,000kms how much does anyone think i should sell it for excellent cond, been told it can be used on petrol systems to.

Hi there mate....did it come off the 3ltr TDI engine?
Might have someone interested. My brother-in-law is looking at turboing his 3.2L Navara cause he tows a 2.5T trailer around and needs more grunt.

Wont be worth much to anyone except those with TDi's....whoever told you diesel turbos work well on petrol engines, doesnt really know what they are talking about.

There is a difference between it "working", and "working well".

i was hopefully chasing more they are $2500 brand new from holden.

They are no good for anything other than somthing simular to the original diesel application, does it even have a wastegate ? Its a very low spec & power turbo.

Try sell it as a spare to a rodeo owner !

You can get a new garrett(400-900hp) for ~$1500-2000 so quoting the holden spare price is unrealistic and irrelevant !

Isnt a brand new td04 from subaru almost $4K? So I wouldnt be putting much stock in the value of the turbo based on what Holden sell it for new.

Ya dreamin mate ....let us know if you've still got it sitting around in the next few months.

BTW does it actually have a normal wastegate or have you got pics of it you can post up?
