as i arrived to pick it up, a mechanic from x-speed was just leaving...

i was told he did a once over and made sure everything was all good and that he also made a few minor 'adjustments' in the ECU ????

Any ideas?

Means it possibly has an aftermarket tune on it like ECUtek or something.

Or an aftermarket complete replacement...only way to make 'fine adjustments'.

I trust RMS too, leigh knows his shit.

for a professional it should take around 5 hours from start to finish.

Thats a damn good price though.

Once you have had an oil change it would be adviseable to prolly drop it again after 2000 k's and wack some new stuff in. This will be the real test to see how much damge has been done! If she becomes a noisey bitch then you may need to nurse her along after this...

Swan Auto Subaru Specialists did my rs conversion that i bought earlier this year,
i encountered my fair share of probems with them. they were pretty cooperative, but a few things they wiggled there way out of. (battery went the day i got it, and i had an rac check, was spose to be a brandnew battery, fuel pump went after a week) they bullshitted a hell of alot about the car, and how they built it, after it had been written off i found a few lil things out about teh chasis that they did not tell me about.
they do have a shitload of parts there though, if your ever looking for parts they got em, and i wouldnt be too surprised if your car has a cigarette smell in it after. they do smoke in the cars...

this isnt just a one off thing either. people from rslc and ausubaru have had problems with them. so just be careful with them. and if you have any issues with it or if they tell you you need parts. ask people from this forum about what they think.
