Default Service?

hey guys,

Since recently purchasing my wrx, i have recently found out that it has not had a service for around 30,000kms??????

i assume it would have been given the once over at the car yard? it has 205--- on the clock.

HELP !!!

any suggestions or ideas as to what i should do?

Umm...

Get it serviced?
What source are you taking the 'not done for 30,000 kms' from? Log book may not be stamped if you took it from that.

Most important thing to do would be to get a workshop to double check if a 200,000 service has been done. Be prepared for over $1k if not for the full monty, but is very important for the integrity of the engine.

yeah no stamps in log book and also just had my mechanic to check and change oil, and to his opinion(which i value highly, he builds and races subaru's in local rally) my engine has not seen new oil for around 30,000kms..

I was more worried if there could be any damage done that i should have to look at or worry about, seeing my oil looks 30,000kms old

i can see the next few weeks are going to be expensive

i don't think it would have damaged anything if you drive normally. just some power loss

30,000km without a service... Doesnt sound good.

Best thing to do now is to take it to a workshop and get a full mechanical inspection. EVERYTHING checked with a fine toothed comb. If necessary get a 200K service.

Expect to spend in excess of $1000 for a 200K service.

Get it done ASAP though.
