benny, next best thing is to use the met-rinch tools, they are a crude ring spanner which ive found handy to get to nuts which were half / half between a metric/imperial size after theyve been rounded off, they have a sharp tooth set in the ring so it makes them good for such shitty situations.

Can also buy socket sets that are specifically used for removing rounded nuts.

I'm sure Sethor can get you these too, he has every tool available under the sun

You should be able to get that nut off with Vice grips, just make sure you spray it when a penetrant and let it soak for a while.

I doubt theres a way of getting a socket in there .

They are only low tensile bolts they will shear off with a little bit of effort, I had the nut seize on mine and it just sheared off.
