i ended up doing all that shit, and nuthing. but it then started beepn again. i then just pushed my code again then 0 & # and my cel poped up. and i just took her for a rap. turned her off a few times. fine. tested val mode also. seems to work fine

good stuff! at least car accepts code! ...on my missus car we did the procedure as discussed. I then drove it to suby ozzy park paid $50 and code was reset.

Considering u only have to sneeze to upset one of these alarm systems I doubt them knowing all they wants going to help less they have the code. Even then I don’t like the odds :P

Sorry peeps, I tend to agree that procedures for the Brant shouldn't be in the public arena... specially the stuff which is undocumented - PM is a better option ?

My vote for this thread to be deleted - no offence intended.....

I agree and that's why when anyone needs the procedure I pm it to them rather than put it in a public forum.
For IWRXOC members on this site, the procedure is in the members only section of the IWRXOC website, so you need your password to get in.

Also I would recommend that anybody who has a pre MY03 Brant to get the battery backup upgraded...the post MY03 holds your code for up to 3 months.
Any Subaru dealer can do it. There was a free upgrade deal a few years ago, but I understand that deal has been discontinued.

I know the Brant system annoys a lot of owners, but I would much rather have to punch in a few numbers and know that the car is secure from theft.

Just out of interest, if you use this proceedure, do you have to retype your exact code or are you able to put any code in?
