Default Park lights nt working

Need a good electrition to fix up my power

Had some issues with park light not working , I changed the fuse and all good but then went out again after a while so ive found the shortige area where the + and - have been touching and burnt through the plastic bit and covered both sides with electric tape and all good again park lights do work when the button on top of the steering is on but not when turning the lights if you no what i mean .??
Help where to look for the problem .

ok, so i take it that when you switch on the parkerlight switch on top of the steering wheel, only the Front and rear parkers come on, not numberplate or dash.
When you turn on your parkerlights on the light switch for headlights etc, you have just numberplate and dash lights? or dont you have dash/numberplate lights.

If you do have dash and numberplate lights, then it is proberly the switch on the top of the steering colum that is faulty. off memory they are about $97 off subaru for the whole indicator/wiper/switch assy.

It could be something small thats disconected but i cant find it and dont want to distroy any more lol...

So your headlights and all interior lights work, just not your park lights unless you turn them on with the switch on top of the steering column?

The stalk and that switch get power from different places (thats why one turns on the lights when the car is off and the other one doesn't) so I would check all of your fuses to make sure another one hasn't blown as well.

I think you need to check fuse No 7 (20A) in the Main box and fuse number 14 (15A) in the sub box.

If they are good I can send you this wiring diagram I have and you can work from there. Best of luck.

Yes that is correct and did all the fuses last night in dark but will double check the lot today , so you think its the fuse from somewhere not a burnt , disconnected wire from somewhere.
Thanks.

Hard to say. First thing to check is the fuses (both fuse boxes) as they are the easiest thing to fix. It gets more difficult from there, and even more difficult from here. If you want the wiring diagram just let me know.

if there was a short... the fuse would blow every time you replaced it. ill grab the wiring and diagram and see if i can suss it out. i sounds like the light switch on the lever could be poo.
