Yes good thread.

Thanks for the link Morgan.

While we are talking gaskets can the thiner (0.058) EJ25 SOHC be used on an EJ207 ?
I'm wanting to up my CR.

Also any diff between the thickness of the DOHC EJ205 and EJ207 gaskets ?

O.k guys.

Awesome info all the way, and I think I have decided to run the '98 wrx heads with the 2.5 block.
My mechanic also mention something about the set up might need a thicker head gasket.

Cheers guys. Will keep you all informed about how it all goes.

Gave a set to WRC22B for a EJ25 he was doing something with and he ended up trying them on a EJ22 semi closed with EJ20T heads, doesn't seem to have been a good thing and is currently being re-done with US EJ22T gaskets.

They are bloody thin, and it looked like a line ball between the gasket giving out and possibly some foreign matter in the heads last time I saw him.

After seeing it I would take a detour round those gaskets, don't think they have the construction for very much boost at all.
