I was thinking Dylan spec cause i have read a lot of good things about them. Main priority for the exhaust with me is no cabin drone, i dont want anything too loud either! Feral took me for a spin in his machine and the exhaust sounded pretty alright to me, although the muffler looks HUGE haha.

1700 for a RT or MMS exhaust would probably push me waaayy over budget too.

Sorry, confusing. I wasnt referring to the driver training when talking bout track work. Just added a bit of info for the thought process

I'm well aware that knowing the limitations of your car is important, probably more so in the public arena when you have to deal with all the morons out there!

Fuel pump is new no need to change it yet. Maybe when it has 45,000km on it or you throw a bigger snail on. Aftermarket fuel pumps get tired too just like the stock ones.

I think you have made a slight mistake asking MMS(Steve) what boost he would tune your car to and then go to ASG(Sean) and then tell them to tune for a specific boost level after you have been advised by a rival workshop.

IF you ever decide to upgrade the turbo, then do these:

- Mac 3 Port Boost Solenoid
- ProcessWest TMIC
- Fuel pump
Agreed with Joe and Carlz.

Exclamation

Me too with Carly and Joe but
===>>+Zorst (Splitter a must) + Cheap 2nd hand VF30/34/43 ($800ish) + Verso =

You WONT need all the rest until you get way over STi levels of Power and boost and then I would only do it at the Tuners recommendation when hitting a limit.

Fuel Pump would be a cheap easy mod at $150ish if a DIY and then only at Tuners recommendation.

Agreed with Clints comment about sticking with the one workshop as well.
Pick an application for the car ie...

Fast street point to point torque weapon.
Drag bitch with some lag and a big top end.

The EJ257 will not last long if you get a crap tune.
Its Hypercrap Pistons will not tolerate detonation period.

To the people recommending a fuel pump I would love to know why.

This isn't a dig I am just curious why.

Yeah i asked MMS about it before i knew ASG even existed, i was planning to get all the advice from ASG when i decide how much $$$ im going to spend and a rough idea of what i want. I was just saying what i had heard through my research. I would hope that i haven't offended anyone in the process

You wouldn't have offended anybody.
Try to stick to one workshop for advice they see the whole story. Forums tend to be selective about what is said with little reasoning behind the advice.

Alrighty thanks for the advice

My understanding was that using a higher flow fuel pump is safety so you dont lean out if you have the boost upped and are getting more air in = more fuel required. But im not sure at what point the stock fuel pump would run out of puff so there may be no point

WRXSTASY, the application is:

Fast street point to point torque weapon.
