oi you little shite lol.

nah we'll see what this guy brings up... if the car should have been written off = legal action.

Shouting and complaining loudly hasn't helped they all keep passing the blame onto each other.

I would be complaining to the ombudsmon about it, if you haven't already. Your insurer is pretty useless as well, i'm still fighting with mine, only been another 4 months or so...!

RAC inspection might not be that bad an idea hey. It sounds like they didn't know what they were doing at all, so the likely hood of something completely unrelated being fucked up now due to there incompetance is quite high.

Although RAC might not do inspections on insurance work, they do standard vehicle inspections which include reporting if it has been involved in a crash. If they can determine it's been in a crash, find out how the determined it, and demand those points fixed. If they can't tell well... it's either a good job, or bad inspector.

Other thing i would do after i get the car, would be to take it to a well known reputable smash repairer, and get them to give the car the once over.

sounds like most smash repair places

if it has taken this long there must have been enough damage to consider it a write off surely???

I doubt they will write it off now, they've already spent the $$$ repairing it to this state.

Jesus Megs what a faaarrrrkkken cockup!!!

After having a few panels repaired over the years on my WRX this is what I would do if ever I had to have mechanical work done after a smash ever again.

- get the smash repairer to do the panel and paint work, lights, minor interior only.
- then insist by talking to your insurer that all the mechanical work is done by a Subi Specialist Workshop.

For example after my last "incident" which required extensive panel and paint surgery, + new lights / minor interior was done by the smash repairer. I insisted that Wheels World do all the alignment / suspension repair.

This was with RAC and they were agreeable.

I would be demanding that the car is transported from whatever mechanic is looking at it now to a Subi Specialist Workshop after all the dramas you have had.

Its fucking pathetic this has dragged on this long.
The Ombudsmen has got to get involved, especially after your wheels were stolen from the smash repairs what back in July!!!

As a warning to other members - Just Cars insurance was Megs insurer!!!!
