The latest news is he's run 11.71@116.76. That is un-freakin-believable There are people with 2.5L, huge turbo's and 250kw atw who cannot run those times.

All I know is it's a 97 WRX with standard 5speed gearbox and diff.

New record 11.7@116mph tuned on a mix of 20L Shell 100octane and 20L VP 109octane.. The worst part of my run's yesterday were that my clutch is pretty much rat sh*t...I slamed 1st to 2nd and all i got was clutch slip it didnt like the 7000rpm shift Now the damn clutch is squaking like a MOFO everytime i press the clutch, all tho the clutch still grabs great for regular driving? anyone had a sqeaky clutch before?

great time, but add another 200kgs to the car (say 3 passengers), then try & repeat it - no chance. The extra weight associated with the GD wrx's is a real hinderance (not to mention 6spd's).

There are a few, but two well known guys on Rexnet:

"WRXPower" has a huge ass twist mount Garret GT30 on his 'the works' 2.5L MY00 sedan. Makes 265kw atw and ran 12.2@120mph.

Autosport has an AVO400L and [edit] 260kw atw on his 2.2L stroker MY00 wagon, and also ran 12.256 @ 113.38mph.
