That was the original plan, but was advised that going with a 207 and keeping some of my gear - chucking a smidge more boost at it was smarter. Also saving a little by doing this and investing it in finer tuning and some brakes/handling mods. |

EJ207 and EJ257 short motors are nearly identicle in price. Given your situation and what you're after, EJ257 makes more sense in my opinion.

Have a look at feral's dyno numbers and his setup with the EJ255 (think that's right), just as a point of comparison for what you want to achieve:
http://www.perth-wrx.com/vb/showthre...&page=33&pp=10 EJ257 would be stronger yet, being semi-closed? |

207 is also semiclosed deck i think. Was the 205's that are open deck and i think the 257 is closed deck yes? With the 4 points plus water jackets etc.

207 is semi-closed deck, thicker walls etc. Tough shit. Kinda why I wanted one...

I'm not worried about massive max power figures, just want something tough with a bit of go for a reasonable price.
Everyone gives different information, blaaaaaaaaaaaaaah! :S |
