The rear main bearing seal. Its a seal that stop oil leaking out into the bell housing. The gearbox is already out and the flywheel will more than likely have to come off for machining so you may as well do the rear main seal. Its a cheap part that is a pain in the ass to replace if you dont already have the gearbox and flywheel out.

Point noted cheers MR2.

I dont know if im just being paranoid but cold starts shifting from 1st to 2nd if i shift normally it almost has a delayed engagement and doesnt CLUNK but you can tell she just drops in. Not normal anyways and i can actually feel my gears as i change gears....is that normal? I remember driving her for the first month or two when it was just a solid shift. My synchros are not grinding, selectors seem fine by the way it shifts, its just it isnt as smooth as was once.

Is this a sign of a possible clutch replacement?

EDIT: Just for a precaution, i changed the oils to Shockproof redline as i got my turbo fitted about a month ago.

nope, few people have experienced certain gears grinding, but I honestly don't know, best to take it to them and ask as they done the work for you and should fix it up.

Grinding can be an idication that your synchros are going i believe. That, or maybe thodd is right and they didnt fit it correctly.
