i rang natrad and they said it cant be welded. i have pulled it out myself and i have been quoted around the $500 mark for a new one and they said they are hard to get your hands on...

how did i go that time, good enough to make a post? sorry about the punctuation though as i'm in a hurry

I think natrad may have been confused (and you to an extent).

They cant always weld the core (depending what it's made of), and generally dont bother trying to weld the plastic tank. However, they can replace the plastic tank. Take the radiator out, and take it in to them complete, they will replace the plastic tank and replace the seals for less than $300.

Follow my advice in the DIY thread.....

Plastic Top/End Tanks can be replaced...the guys in this thread will be cheaper...

As I just learnt a week or so ago, your better off just buying a whole new radiator. Don't waste your time with repairing or second hand crap.
