..pretty spot on there about the 'sacred' olive.. good read.
It doesnt say anything in there about it being aftermarket boost controlled but.

I dont see how it could make any difference to a boost controller made by someone else then subaru.

My setup on the Blitz DSBC spec S is a line from the turbo compressor straight to the valve, and then a line from the valve back to the wastegate actuator. I get some morning to evening differential in boost pressure so i have two different setups to get the boost i want by changing mode between morning and evening map.

Stock exhaust so perhaps the wastegate is getting restriction causing this?

Do you guys think perhaps i also need to put the olive in the line running from the compressor to the valve, it doesnt run quite the same way as the factory "bleed" setup.

Well i played with pinching the vaccum tube and watching boost and it definately solves the problem of the car not boosting. But the boost controller hasnt been doing its job and cutting boost so i have to watch the guage at the moment. So it looks like i need the olive to control the stability.

By no means is it fixed but i think thanks for pointing me in the rite direction guys. HOpefully its solved soon.

make sure all the vacuum lines are right. im pretty sure if you disconnect the actuator the turbo will just boost. dont hold me to it though.

http://www.rexnet.com.au/forum/index...80927&hl=olive

there was another thread that reccomended using a mig welding tip. they only cost $2ish (where as the subaru olive costs $50) and they come in a variety of diameters.

did j shop throw out your old shit? get them to pay for a new one from subaru.

Really ancient thread - Did the pill fix the problem, which vacuum line has the pill, from the wastegate back the EBC or the turbo inlet to the EBC?
