why bother when they come factory turbo anyway, but good on em for trying

does anyone remember the yank kid who took off the turbo on his 05 sti and then supercharged it and made 35kw?
Your realise these are aimed at NA, yeah?

Apparently my car makes about 83kw atw stock, so to push out 135kw-ish, i'd be rather happy.

But then again, would the costs of it make sense when you could just buy a WRX to start with? Probably not.

Haha yes!

Quality workmanship and all! That was the one with all the yucky red DIY painted bits yeah? Turned up to a dyno day after a big talk up?

Yeah I did. What I'm saying is I can understand s/c kits for cars like the commodore etc where no factory boosted option is available. But on a Subaru and for that money .. crackpipe.

Some people like to be different. In fact, some people even pay money for it!

Anyone seen that pic of the subaru running both s/c & turbo ?

I can't remember where i saw it......

So you would pay more to make less then a stock turbo EJ20?

Read the last line of what i said Teejay, and then STFU.

Take a breath and settle down child.

I misread what you said. Regardless, my point was that a N/A owner is better off doing a conversion then doing this. You would agree or disagree?

:D

Like i said, depends on the costs. I havent bothered to look into how much this would be. If it were significantly less than a conversion, then it might be worth it. But like i said previously, probably not.
