Vortech style super chargers are a bit on the gay side for serious efforts at supercharging any car...
its essentially the front of a turbo driven by the crank and not exhaust gas, thus its still laggy, and has no where near the same sort of linear power delivery as say a lysholm SRM twin screw supercharger... rootes style blowers are a tad better than the vortech but are still ineffecient compared to a twin screw.. saddly twin screws are noisy as hell, they sound insanely awesome, but you need ear plugs after a while, thus they're not really a viable option on a road going car.. |
