I've seen one mounted on the side of a sub station blow its top. Well to be more correct, HEARD it, then turned around to see a massive white mushroom cloud.
The valve assembly was never found and there was a big white streak the whole way up the sub.

I would be more worried that the DCP compacts and nothing comes out when you need it. So... invert and shake every so often, the road vibrations will make it pack down.
Takes a fairly high temp for the bursting disc to go on them, I would be more worried of the pin falling out and the missus setting it off.

Then you would need those lasers...

had little one in my boot unmounted and forgot about it, i never use my boot one day opened it and found it had gone off haha.
