For my new 1kg fire extinguisher!!!

Who has put one in thier wrx/sti?

and...

Where did you find was the best place that is both accessable but still out of the way and not going to keep getting hit and/or kicked all the time?

any pics would be great too.

Cheers.

Don't have a photo handy but the standard spot is in front of passenger seat. You just need a flat piece of aluminium that runs between the bolts that secure the seat rails. You then attach the extinguisher holder/bracket to the aluminium bar. The seat will still be able to slide over it. I got Maximum Motorsport to fit mine but if you have a workshop handy its easy to make one up.

Note that if your going to do any CAMS sanctioned trackdays you'll need the extinguisher holder/bracket to be metal and the extinguisher certified and stamped. I've seen a few people get caught out by this recently.

as has been mentioned, get a peice of long steel, or metal bar, drill 2 holes the same width as your seat rails and bolt the extinguisher to it. Mine is fitted and I can slide the seat forward and it goes right over the top of the extinguisher (if I need to fit some lanky person in the rear seat.

Yep, thats how mine is mounted....out of the way of the passengers legs, yet handy if I need to grab it quickly.
