I think I might go with the RE-11s. The come in the stock 205/50/16 size and are only $4 dearer than the AD08s (closest size being 205/55/16).
Always had good experiences with Bridgestone tyres, getting good life and performance out of them, especially in the wet.

The AD08s can be rotated better, and are obviously more responsive in cornering due to their 2 sided design, but I think the Bridgestones will be more predictable and forgiving.

I just bought a set of Yokohama Advan Sport's for the XR through St. George Tyres in NSW, they're 245/30R20's and were $640ea fleet price through a friend at Bob Jane, I paid $312.50ea delivered through St. George then $30ea to fit.

In comparison these tyres are $433ea thru tire rack, plus freight. So some tyres are cheaper through them and others aren't, I'd say american brands like BFG are where thy can heavily discount...

90 load rating will be ok, but be very careful if you're fully loaded.

90 load rating equates to 600kg per tyre = 2400kg overall, kerb weight is 1704, so can't see how that's an issue.

Do places like wheels world mind fitting stuff purchased elsewhere? (obviously paying for the fitting) I thought those kinda places would only do the installation if you bought through them

wheels world doesn't mind at all, I bought a set of sti rims with near new tyres from a forum member. Drove over to wheels world to swap it over + wheel alignment, great job.

Highly recommended

$34 a corner to fit tyres to rims at Wheels World but you better call John and book with him.
