Exhaust on my06 STI
would anyone know if the 06 STI's exhaust pipes would be the same from its pervious models.
i have this mod in mind but i m afraid it might not fit. the dealer claim it fits the 05 models so i m wondering it would for my car. HKS Downpipe 75mm SUBARU Impreza WRX 2001-2003 2.0 Turbo ; Stock Turbo w/ HKS Exhaust, Eliminates (2) Rear Cats (Off-Road Use Only), Stainless Steel / Coated HKS Uppipe 45mm SUBARU Impreza WRX 2002-2003 2.0 Turbo ; Stock Turbo - (Off-Road Use Only), Stainless Steel / Polished HKS Carbon Ti Catback 75mm 120mm tip SUBARU Impreza WRX STI 2004 Turbo ; Does not clear on vehicles with optional Subaru skid-plate (rear differential). i think this is a complete engin back exhaust system. i dont know wht other pipes i need. well, anyways, if anyone knw abt this, pls tell me so i can order the stuff in. cheers |

What exactly are you looking for, Wai?
Do you want performance/sound? Both? For me, my STi is plenty fast, so i just bought an axleback to get the WRX burble, which i found the car lost over 3500 rpm. |

Just get a normal Stainless Steel turbo Back 3inch with decent muffler ...
Nice sound better performance... |

03-06 should be the same imo.. only the 06 has a longer front due to the new front bar.
saying that whats the point of buying a standard branded downpipe, just get a catback.. saying that ive got a stainless steel downpipe with splitter and cat, to bolt on directly to any catback for sale if u want (shameless free plug) |

Wai.....besides everyone offering you an opinion that doesnt answer your enquiry.....go check out cypher industries, Maximum Motorsport, Speedworks, RMS, Tenagah etc etc etc and get a quote for an exhaust system to suit. You wont save any money buying bits and pieces and you leave the job to the professionals, do it once do it right and 'fuggedaboudit'.
I'd 'recommend' trying cypher industries out for your exhaust requirements.
