Having run tests with stock airbox and a CAI, there was zero benefits... In fact the stock air box worked better.

The need for CAI only comes in when you are removing the AFM and/or doing rotated mount setups etc. A TD05 isn't a big turbo to be worrying about it.

Equal length headers will lose the boxer rumbler, since the boxer rumble is only because of inefficiencies in the headers.

Also, I'd look at decapping the injectors to ensure there is a good fuel delivery.

If i had my time again I'd go 3' zorst, panel filter and tune should still be good for around 270-280 HP at the hubs, done for 2G. Why spend another 2-3K plus for another 30hp?
Al

Stock air box Yes, with a quality high flow panel filter but remove the resonator in the guard and replace it with some PVC piping that draws air from somewhere other than your engine bay......I still like CAI's and I don't believe that dynos always show the difference a proper CAI can achieve.

nah not soft cuz, but 270HP is still pretty respectable, just helping him to make an informed decision, that other 2-3K could be used for coilovers, nice set of rims etc....

Thanks for the info and replies. No need for coilovers. Already has a few suspension mods including coilovers and the brakes have been upgraded as well...

Opinions, how do the AVO unequal length headers rate? Also how would the AVO400L compare to the Blouch TD05-20g?

I made 261 hp at the hubs with a simple zorst, silicon intake and verso. this was also with a VERY safe tune (as all verso's are ) awesome combo, awesome spool, and very reliable! If you wanted more power, you'll need turbo, injectors, and maybe headers.

The 400l might be a bit too small for a 2.5, id be looking at avo 450s, td06-20g, or something similar.

Also, is this for an STi?? cus the pic in your avatar is only a wrx...
