Have had/have APS, MRT and Hyperflow on last and current STi/I and never had a problem over 6 years of driving...just make sure inner guard is intact and don't drive through any extremely deep puddles (which you wouldn't do anyway...)

I'd cut 3" off the pipe & raise it if it was mine & nice lip on the disc, I thought mine was bad lol.

Wouldn't the water evaporate? The engine being so hot?

can i ask anyone out there with a CAI fitted.... is it ok in this wet weather? i have the PW CAI, and i have noticed that its getting a bit wet behind the guard liner from water coming in through the vent under the indicator etc.... my car shuddered a bit last night (just after it poured down) just after it started, but has been running fine since i'm really worried as the pod seems to be a bit damp/slightly wet.... can anyone put me at ease??? |

not sure if its already been covered, but by the time the turbo sucks it up its well on its way to being nicely atomised so unless your talking about sitting in a puddle then it wont have much effect. if your really concerned then put the panel filter back in but i don't see it being a major issue.
water injection ftw! |

Wouldn't this intake decrease power? Your increasing the length of the intake so it's taking longer for air to be sucked up into the throttle body?

as long as the pod is not resting in water or anything it should be ok... as ramon said, the turbo should evaporate any moisture... it wont run as good as normal with the moisture, but i dont think it will damage the engine or anything |
