Hey all,
hoping to get a bit of direction here.

Purchased a set of wheels, 18x8.5 a few months back.
Now in the process of getting them fitted, but unsure on which tyre to go.

Anyone had any experiences with Nitto Invo's?
Or any recommendations?
Car is only a daily driver.
Have experienced KU31's before, and they seemed quiet good all around, but a tad noisy.
(Went to Kmart, and was told there was none left at all)

Also, I've been told different things through different shops regarding tyre size. One place told me 225, and another told me 215!
I always thought with a 8.5 wide rim, you'd fit 235's?

Any help will do..Thanks!

I just purchased 8.5" rims and putting 225's (Yokohama S-Drive - there's my recommendation) on them. If you can easily fit them inside your guards, go 235. Do not put 215 on them. Go back and slap the mexican who told you that.

When i did my research before buying rims, 8.5 = 235.

I like the Federal 595 EVOs for a good daily driver. I used them at the track also and they were not bad.

A lot of people here like KU36 and Yoko S drives.

If you are getting BS-ed with local prices, try tirerack or demontweeks.

"Ive got 235's on my 8" rotas. fitment it good and (kinda) protects the rim.

You'll get 245's on an 8.5" rim if you they'll fit in your guards, same as what the current STi's run. I've got 245's on my 8" track rims.

S-Drives for a daily IMO. They are pricey but its the only thing that attaches you to the road so why skimp?

Go and talk to Wheels World in Osborne park.
Anything they don't know about tyres/fitment probably isn't worth knowing.

225's on 8.5 leaves the lip of the rim open for easy grazing (tyre is a little bit stretched, not mexican). Gotta avoid kerbs like the plague to prevent rim damage. Also when taking the wheels off, not to just drop them onto the ground as the lip once again makes contact with the ground and gets scratched.

Going up to 235'/245's prevents this, but then needs a little more work to stop the tyres from rubbing guards/guard liners. This is what I found on my reasonably low GD.

Hey guys. Thanks very much for the feedback. I think i might go into wheels world and get a few quotes. Obviously these other places arent helpful at all.
Quiet like the sound of the s-drives..do wheels world sell them?
